The very last one honours the groundbreaking event that made the AGO an experience Toronto Life describes as “the city’s hippest hangout” and brought incredible art experiences to Toronto’s late night scene.
The final First Thursday is a nod to the future. The next generation of curators from OCAD U will bring We Are Each Other’s Muses to honour the muse in all of everybody, and centres the perspectives and experiences of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and Person of Colour), queer and femme-forward artists.
The headliner is First Thursday alumnus TiKa who returns with two special guests, James Baley and TIYAL. Local artists take over Baillie Court with an Art $ale!!! featuring artworks and wares guests can take away. The night also features an advice column-style Q&A with Dayna Danger, a meme-making workshop by Fallon Simard, a performance by Kiera Boult, and the work of The Original Smiths whose retro, vintage and up-cycled clothing showcases creativity through style.
